World Events / Events affecting the whole game, not just one map
For later stages i suggest something similar (scaled of course) to the legendary Ahn'Qiraj War Effort in WoW where all the players have to join forces and do a team effort in order to open a new dungeon or start a new phase. Whoever was lucky enough to take part of such an event will surely remember those uniqe adventures.

As a player who lived the epic AQ world event (one of the most formidable MMO experience ever in my opinion), I can say that I really, really hope to be able to work on something like that.
Now, the fact that it happens only once is both cool but also bad. I think it could be better if we had world events that can occur once per year for example at an irregular (so, unexpected) rate. To give a chance to everyone to experience it at some point.
For example, a very rare chance for a goblin invasion to starts, creating temporary events accross the game or special dungeons, where the success/fail rate of all instances is recorded and impact how the event evolves.

ScourgioI somewhat agree and disagree, having yearly events is always amazing in games and i think destiny (although the game has taken a very steep decline) does a great job at that. But also some of the best experiences are the ones that don't necessarily happen again making them truly special. The Thargold war is an amazing example of that in Elite Dangerous. Having events that actively and permanently change the world makes the game feel so much more alive, and hearing legends of events from the past making future ones all the more exciting.
